Risk disclosure
Last updated: 31 October 2026
Risk warning: trading gold and forex carries a high level of risk. This is education, not financial advice. Never risk money you can't afford to lose.
Trading is high risk
- Gold (XAUUSD) and currency prices can move sharply in seconds — especially around news such as interest rate decisions, inflation data or geopolitical events.
- Most retail traders access these markets through CFDs or leveraged accounts. Leverage magnifies losses as well as gains: a small move against you can wipe out your deposit.
- Across EU brokers, a large share of retail CFD accounts lose money — EU-regulated brokers must publish the exact percentage for their clients. Check your broker's figure before you trade.
- Prices can "gap" past your stop loss, and orders can be filled at a worse price (slippage). A stop loss limits risk but does not guarantee it.
- Only trade with money you can afford to lose completely.
What our trade ideas and videos are
- They are general education showing how we read market structure. They are not personal advice and don't take your finances, goals or experience into account.
- Some trade ideas are drafted with the help of software (including AI) from live price data and reviewed by us before we publish them. They can still be wrong.
- Entries, stops and targets are examples. By the time you see them, the price may have moved.
- Past results, screenshots or testimonials never guarantee future results.
- We may personally trade the same markets we discuss.
Protect yourself
- Use a broker authorised by a financial regulator in your country, and read its own risk warnings.
- Practise on a demo account first. Risk only a small, fixed part of your account on any one trade.
- If you're unsure whether trading suits you, speak to an independent, authorised financial adviser.
- You are responsible for any taxes on your trading results.
